A Merry Christmas Celebration 2023
This year, Special Children’s Service Centre (SCSC) held a lively Christmas party at Strathfield Sports Club. The event was attended our special children, their parents, carers, members of our senior group, and other distinguished guests. Together, we shared the warmth and love of the holiday season.
One of the highlights of the day was a sumptuous Korean buffet lunch. The spread featured authentic Korean delicacies, ranging from grilled meats to various kinds of kimchi. The rich selection of dishes satisfied everyone’s taste buds, and the delicious food not only provided a delightful dining experience but also created a relaxed atmosphere for everyone to bond.
Following the lunch, a series of performances brought excitement and joy to the attendees. The first performance was a dance by members of the senior group, who delivered an energetic and well-coordinated routine. Their impressive skills and teamwork energised the crowd and brought in the Christmas spirits.
Next, our special children’s performance team, led by Queenie, took the stage. Our group presented a modern dance that captivated the audience. Their performance showcased not only their individual talents but also the dedication and effort they put into their rehearsals. The parents and carers were filled with pride as they watched their children perform with confidence on stage.
Another highlight of the event was a mesmerising violin solo by SCSC Secretary Dr. Patrick Tsang. His exquisite melodies and masterful technique added a touch of artistry to the celebration. The beautiful music resonated throughout the venue, leaving the audience enchanted and creating unforgettable memories for this special Christmas event. Everyone felt the spirit of the season, filled with love and care.
Every year, SCSC organises these celebrations to provide a platform for our special children and their families to showcase their talents, build confidence, and allow the broader community to experience mutual support and encouragement. This year’s Christmas celebration once again fulfilled that purpose, leaving all attendees with heartfelt blessings and cherished memories.
